WELCOME TO LOOKING BACK

About Us
Our collection of vintage imagery extends to over 100,000 images. The content dates from many centuries and covers a variety of subjects.

Looking Back discovers the delights of days gone by and presents images from photographs, art, postcards, books, magazines, stamps and many other sources. Some images are on the web site here and are free to view, but the main content is in our subscription e-magazine Looking Back.

We also carry specially commissioned articles on historical fashion, the nude in paintings, book covers, playing cards, history, and a wealth of other subjects. All articles are relevant to the site contents and some feature a 'modern take' on old fashioned ideas.

There are two parts to Looking Back. The web site is basic with a few free galleries, but the monthly e-magazine is the main part of the business. To see how the magazine looks, you can:

There is erotica on this site and in the e-magazine, but not in the sample.
We cannot say that we do not show any genitalia, although 'fluffy bits' as in the image to the left are quite normal. It is all tasteful because we want the majority of the population of the world to be able to enjoy Looking Back.

Content
There is a limited amount of free content which we are happy to show you on the web site here. To fully benefit though, it is best to subscribe to the Looking Back e-magazine.

A Note On Copyright
We take breaches of copyright VERY seriously. Where possible, we have cleared copyright status, or gained permissions for use. However given the subject matter, the age of the original images, and the sheer variety of sources, it is very difficult to ascertain absolute ownership.

If we are showing an image which you can prove copyright ownership of, we will immediately apologise, and either remove that image without any fuss, or seek your permission for use.

Regards,

The Editor
